Tips for inclusive product design.
When designing for the real world, the key is to remember that we are different on many levels. You are not your product’s end user. We all have different philosophical, spiritual, and religious beliefs. We come from different communities, cities, regions, and countries. We all speak, write, and read in different languages, and in different dialects.
Therefore, as a professional product or UX designer, it’s important to design inclusively for all. This means that you will almost certainly need to work through several… perhaps many… iterations before you have your ideal design, one that comes closest to meeting your goals, which are ultimately your end users’.
